Before I dive into today’s essay, I wanted to share some exciting news. My next book is officially under contract! An Honest Man: The Inimitable Presidency of John Adams will be published on the full trade list of Oxford University Press in the fall of 2024. I can’t wait to share some snippets and my progress as I get closer. In the meantime, I’m have a delightful time writing about the colorful personalities that are in the Adams family.
